Join us on Zoom for a captivating journey through Umbria, Italy!  Led by renowned experts Edmund Zimmerman and Robert Minervini, this free information session will immerse you in the rich cultural heritage of the enchanting region of Umbria. Learn more about our upcoming summer travel workshop, Mythology & Place: Artistic Inspiration in Umbria. In this 10-day travel workshop, students will create drawings, paintings, and mixed-media pieces inspired by the archetypes, icons, and legends of Italian life. This immersive workshop is designed for artists seeking to explore their environments and themselves through art.

Edmund Zimmerman has been the director of the La Romita Center for the Arts in Umbria for over twenty years. Zimmerman is a freelance writer and poet with a background in the performing arts in Rome and San Francisco. Edmund is fluent in Italian, has traveled extensively throughout Central Italy and is well versed in Italian cultural and political history.
Robert Minervini is an artist and educator whose work delves into the complex interplay of nature and culture. His evocative paintings and public art installations transport viewers to fantastical worlds, challenging conventional notions of realism. As an Italian-American based in both Italy and California, Minervini's art practice and experience shapes his perspective on art, culture and place.
