If you're looking for a Beginning guitar class that takes you beyond campfire chords, you've found it! This class is for newcomers or any guitarist that wants to fill in the gaps and develop a solid foundation for making music on the guitar. This class teaches proper guitar techniques (including fingerpicking and strumming), how to read music, musicianship skills, and how to practice and play with others. We have lots of fun and play a variety of folk and blues music. Bring your own guitar!

Instructor bio: My name is Doug Cameron and I am a San Francisco based guitarist, composer, and music educator. I completed a Bachelor of Music in guitar performance and a Master of Music degree in music composition at San Francisco State University. I've taught music privately and in the classroom to hundreds of students at all levels and styles. I am an active composer for local and national artists, independent film/video, concerts, computer games, and theater.
