Introduction to Lawn Bowling
Tuesdays, 10/14-10/28/2025, 10:00-11:30am
Location: Golden Gate Park Lawn Bowling Club
Instructor Andrew Keeler
Come learn and enjoy the fabulous game of lawn bowling in beautiful Golden Gate Park. Students will learn the history of bowls and play at the San Francisco Lawn Bowling Club, the oldest municipal bowling club in the country. It is similar to bocce ball and a great game for all ages. We will cover all the rules, fundamentals and strategy. No experience or equipment is needed. Everything will be provided. Just need comfortable clothes, flat-soled shoes and a fun attitude!
Instructor bio: Andrew Keeler is head of coaching at San Francisco Lawn Bowling Club, the oldest municipal bowling club in America. Keeler also teaches mahjong around the Bay Area and at City Extension. In addition to public drop in games, he has taught private and corporate clients.
