METRC Compliance and the Cannabis Industry

Instructor: Ali Jamalian

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4/13/2021-4/28/2021, 5:30-8:30pm 

As states move into the era of legalization, compliance training in the cannabis industry is in high demand. In this 4 session workshop we will learn the ins and outs of the newly adopted track and trace compliance software METRC, as well as on site compliance protocols. Learn about the differences between local and state compliance, and working under current federal controls. Specific attention will be paid to the skills and knowledge needed to establish your business and navigate current regulations. This course is open to all and a requirement for those completing any of the Cannabis Badge Tracks CCSF.

Instructor Bio: Well-known among California cannabis growers, retailers and producers, Ali Jamalian has dedicated his life to studying and applying his knowledge of the cannabis plant. He has earned a reputation as a savvy entrepreneur who helps partners, associates, and the community at large focus on the most strategic issues for the industry. As California continues to adapt to a world where recreational marijuana use is legal, Jamalian has been invited to apply for a position on the San Francisco Cannabis Oversight Committee. He is also advising his hometown of Düsseldorf, Germany in its cannabis legalization efforts.

Instructor Bio: Ali Jamalian is a 20-year veteran of the cannabis industry in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the co- creator of Dragonglass(TM), the first sublingual/edible flake made using superfood based on a proprietary, patent-pending method of producing water-based edibles that are free of sugar, fat, alcohol, and synthetics. Formerly a sought-after branding and marketing consultant for multinational brands including Colgate, P&G and Pantene, Jamalian is known for his innovative creative treatments, campaigns, events, and TV commercials.

Workshops are taught online through Zoom and Canvas. Students will need a computer or smart phone with webcam and microphone, internet and web streaming capacity, and the Zoom application installed to their device.
