Creating a Cannabis Brand

Launching and marketing a brand in the complex, highly regulated, and rapidly changing cannabis industry can be daunting. Come learn how to get started as City Extension provides a practical guide to the fast-growing cannabis marketplace. Industry leaders will lead strategic discussions on the challenges and opportunities and provide tips that you can immediately use to conduct market research, position a brand, leverage social media in an increasingly crowded field. 4 sessions. 

Instructor Bio: Ali Jamalian is a 20-year veteran of the cannabis industry in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the co- creator of Dragonglass(TM), the first sublingual/edible flake made using superfood based on a proprietary, patent-pending method of producing water-based edibles that are free of sugar, fat, alcohol, and synthetics. Formerly a sought-after branding and marketing consultant for multinational brands including Colgate, P&G and Pantene, Jamalian is known for his innovative creative treatments, campaigns, events, and TV commercials.

Workshops are taught online through Zoom and Canvas. Students will need a computer or smart phone with webcam and microphone, internet and web streaming capacity, and the Zoom application installed to their device.
