Wire Sculpture: Birds in Motion 

Thursdays, 10/2-10/23/2025

6:00-8:00pm

Location: Ocean Campus, room TBA

Instructor: Tom Hill

Join artist Tom Hill and create wire sculptures! In this workshop, students will work from a two-dimensional visual source, such as a drawing, still photograph, or video. Using simple techniques and steel wire, we'll create a sculptural bird form that uses drawn line in three-dimensions. Most tools are provided for studio use, and the enrollment fee includes a variety of gauges of wire. No previous experience required!

Instructor Bio: 
I have been working in wire for over 30 years having studied jewelry making at Middlesex University in London UK . I have made a number of private and public commissions over the years , including for the BBC Symphony Orchestra , John Lewis partnership and enteral Wisconsin Airport.
