Saturday Quilting Lab
 
Every third Saturday between: 1/18-5/3/2025
Meetings are from 10:00am-2:00pm on the following dates:

5/3/2025 10:00am-2:00pm.

Join us for Saturday Quilt Lab at City Extension! Looking for a light-filled, spacious room to spread out to sew and create; get new ideas and feedback from other quilters; and ideas to solve and trouble-shoot your quilting challenges? Saturday Quilt Lab at City Extension is for you!

Six 4-hour Saturday stretches to work on whatever sewing/quilting you choose every 3 weeks from January through May. Bring your works-in-progress, start something new, or use the space to pin, baste and finish that masterpiece you’ve been working on. Quilting Instructor, Lorraine Woodruff-Long will be there to guide, answer questions and help you solve your quilting riddles while we all sew individually, together!

Beginners to advanced - any level welcome to join!

 

Materials:

Your own sewing machine, fabric, project, individual sewing tools

We'll provide cutting mats, irons/ironing boards, large workspace tables, and design walls available for group use. 

 
Instructor Bio:
Lorraine Woodruff-Long is a self-taught quilter with a primary focus on color, improvisation, and recycled/repurposed fabrics. Her work has been juried into shows at the de Young Museum/San Francisco, the California Heritage Museum/Santa Monica, the International Quilt Festival/Houston, QuiltCon, and the Sanchez Art Center/Pacifica, among others.
