Interested in the Meisner technique but never had a chance to try it out? Come sample our Meisner workshop with a free one-hour session. Meisner’s definition of acting: “to behave truthfully under imaginary circumstances.” Students will learn to be more present, trust their instincts, and achieve more emotional freedom on stage. All levels welcome.

Instructor Bio:
Nicolas Jupillat is a San Francisco-based public interest lawyer who is passionate about acting and storytelling, which are instrumental to promoting justice and personal growth. After performing in college theater productions in France and the Netherlands, he attended the Mulholland Film Academy in Amsterdam where he had the privilege to train under the late Jacqueline McClintock, an internationally renowned acting coach who studied with Sanford Meisner himself. Nicolas has taught the Meisner technique since 2023, first at the Portland Community College, and now at City College of San Francisco Extension. He uses the skills he learned as an actor to advocate for victims of harassment and discrimination every day, and he looks forward to helping students be their authentic selves and find their own voice in life and on stage.
