Collage, the art of combining paper, photographs, fabric, and other materials on a flat surface, expands the expressive possibilities of picture-making through appropriation, transformation, and unexpected connections. This five-session workshop explores collage through weekly projects focused on both concept and technique. Each meeting begins with discussion of historical and contemporary art, followed by studio work, group critique, and documentation of completed work. There will be a visiting artist one session, and the enrollment fee includes a $20 materials fee.
