Design and Create Latch Hook Rugs
Fridays, 10/4-10/18/2024, 10:00am-12:30pm
 
Location: John Adams Center, room 312

Instructor: Margaret Timbrell

This workshop explores latch hook rug making. We’ll learn about the materials, different ways to use the yarn, the latch hook technique, and how to finish a project. Using our new skills we’ll design a small abstract rug to continue working on each week. Basic supplies are included for a $20 materials fee, included in the enrollment fee.
 
MATERIALS LIST FOR STUDENTS :
Variety of Yarn - 1 to 3 skeins of midweight yarn in their colors of choice

Instructor Bio: 
Margaret Timbrell is a needlework artist. Her work is inspired by various influences (such as technology, parenthood, perseverance and fragility) that alter language and engagement. She is most known for her 15’ latch hook portrait of Minnie Pearl hanging at the Graduate Hotel in Nashville.
