A Collage a Day
Wednesdays, 10/30-11/20/2024, 6:00-9:00pm
Location: Chinatown/ North Beach Center, room 1404

Collage, the art of applying paper, photographs, fabric, and more to a flat surface, offers artists the opportunity to appropriate and repurpose images and materials, expanding the expressive qualities of picture making. In this workshop, every class includes a presentation of art related to the prompt, studio time, group critiques and photographs of created work. Materials provided for a $20 fee, which is included in the course fee.
Instructor Bio:
Lorna Stevens is a mixed media artist whose work centers on integrating material and technique to represent subject matter. The Brooklyn Museum, the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the New York Public Library, the Numakunai Sculpture Garden in Iwate, Japan, and the SF MOMA Research Library have acquired her work. She received her MFA from Columbia University.
