Plein Air Painting

Thursdays, 6/15-7/6/2023, 10:00am-1:00pm

Location: In-person, off campus

Instructor: Tom Colcord and Alexandra Bailliere

In this fun, outdoor class, we will paint from nature and what we see from observation, focusing on color, light and composition. Class participants may use their preferred art medium (pastels, oil paint, acrylic, gouache, pastel, pencil, watercolor), but all instructor demos will be in oils and/or gouache paints. Class meetings will be in Golden Gate Park, the Presidio and near the Golden Gate Bridge.

Each class will meet at a new location so that we can paint different landscapes. Meeting locations with links to maps and a suggested materials list will be emailed two weeks before the first class meeting.
