Instructor: Joyce Nojima

Come join our five-session virtual class where we will learn painting in watercolor! Students will explore a variety of techniques, with a focus on visual elements and design such as color, value, space, and composition. The instructor will help students gain a basic command of this expressive media through class demos and individual direction.
 
There's no prerequisite: all levels are welcome.
 
Materials:

Or, bring the following items:
Watercolor Paint Tubes (You might find all these colors in a premade set ie : Sennelier La Petite Aquarelle Watercolor Set for $35.96):
- burnt umber - viridian green - cadmium yellow - cadmium red - yellow ochre - alizarin crimson - ultramarine blue - prussian blue - mars black - titanium white
 
Brushes (Soft nylon, sable or any that is specifically for watercolor): #14 or higher Pointed Round ($15.07)
 
Dry Materials: Pencil ($1.00) - Kneaded eraser ($1.70) - Plastic eraser ($4.98) - Straight edge ruler ($4.73)
 
Surfaces: A watercolor art journal (140lbs or more and no smaller than 5"x 8"). ($20.00)
 
Misc: - If the watercolor paint set does not have a palette then you will need a portable palette like Mijello Airtight watercolor palette ($10.73) - Rags or paper towels ($1.50) - (1) Cup or jar to hold water - (1) Roll of masking or painter's tape ($3.99)
