Full course description

This class is for people who support system-involved-youth through loss, chaos, and trauma while possibly pushing their own grief to the side just to get through the week. We’ll talk about the kind of grief that builds slowly, gets misread as burnout, or turns into emotional shutdown when no one notices what you’re carrying. You’ll be introduced to powerful concepts like ambiguous grief, the kind that comes from unclear or unresolved loss, and disenfranchised grief, which is when your pain isn’t seen, named, or allowed. This training is handson, real-talk, and full of tools you can use the next day with youth, families, and yourself. You’ll leave with language, activities, and a framework for staying in the work without falling apart.
