Use of AI in these contexts offers many benefits, risks, and unknowns. In this course, participants will learn what AI is and is not, ways it can be used administratively and clinically in mental health service delivery, risks and benefits of using AI, and legal and ethical considerations.

Objectives 1. List two benefits and two risks of using AI in clinical practice; 2. Describe three ethical issues that can arise when using AI in clinical practice; 3. Describe three legal issues that can arise when using AI in clinical practice; 4. List at least three practices to assure the legal and ethical use of AI in clinical practice.

Transfer of Knowledge  ● Assess current use of AI in clinical work to determine if they are engaged in any unethical or illegal practices ● Determine steps to ensure their use of AI in clinical practice meets legal and ethical standards.
