Strategies to Support Youth and Young Adults on the Schizophrenia Spectrum

Some foster youth exhibit psychotic features whether they experience auditory or visual hallucinations, paranoia or other delusions. It’s important for social service providers working with system-involved youth to understand the different diagnoses associated with psychosis and how to effectively support them. This training will equip you with skills to work with youth experiencing these symptoms.

1. Participants will be able to identify one type of a delusion

2. Participants will be able to identify one type of hallucination

3. Participants will be able to describe at least 1 strategy to support system-involved youth experiencing delusions and/or hallucinations
