Many system-involved youth struggle to regulate their emotions, particularly anger. Youth often acknowledge their need for anger management skills so it’s crucial for social service providers, foster parents, and natural supports to learn how to help system-involved youth navigate their anger. This workshop will provide you with strategies for talking with system involved youth about anger management and how to support them. The training will also teach conflict resolution skills to share, teach and practice with system-involved youth and young adults in care.
- Participants will be able to identify at least one way anger can be externalized
- Participants will be able to identify at least one way system involved youth internalize anger
- Participants will be able to identify at least one strategy to help system involved youth regulate their anger.
