Strategies to Teach Boundaries and Consent to System-Involved Kids and Teens
Learning to set boundaries and consent starts early in life. So, it's essential for parents and caregivers of system-involved youth to understand different types of boundaries and what consent is. This training will equip you with strategies to teach and reinforce boundaries from youth ranging from toddler age on up. Learning about boundaries helps prevent sexual abuse and supports individuals who have been abused in their healing journeys.
1. Participants will be able to explain consent to a system-involved youth
2. Participants will be able explain the difference between consent and coercion
3. Participants will be to identify at least 2 categories of boundaries
