Strategies to Support Individuals with Trauma Triggers Triggers are common for individuals who have been exposed to trauma. They can show up immediately or some time after the trauma. They can be confusing and difficult to navigate without adequate support. This training will provide an overview of trauma and triggers, common types of trauma triggers and strategies to support system-involved youth and young adults who are being triggered. Participants will be able to: 1. Participants will be able to explain what a trigger is to system-involved youth. 2. Participants will be able to identify at least one example of a trauma trigger. 3. Participants will be able to identify at least one strategy to support system-involved youth with a trauma trigger.
