Location: Online via Zoom

An Overview of Sexual Abuse of Youth with Disabilities Sexual abuse of youth with disabilities is rarely talked about despite its prevalence. This is problematic given how many system-involved youth have disabilities. It's crucial for social service providers to learn about this topic so they can intervene on a preventative basis as well as to intervene if the youth has been abused. 1. Participants will be able to identify at least one risk factor for youth with disabilities to be sexually abused. 2. Participants will be able to identify at least one preventive strategy to protect disabled youth from abuse. 3. Participants will be able to identify at least one strategy to support disabled youth when abused.
