Instructor: Marya Wright
Full course description
This training provides participants with understanding of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and the impact on system-involved youth and families. Participants will learn to recognize the neurological, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges associated with FASD, distinguish these from other behavioral health and developmental conditions, and apply trauma-informed, FASD sensitive strategies to support youth across systems of care. Through case vignettes, breakout discussions, and skill-building exercises, attendees will gain the tools needed to create collaborative, strengths-based plans that improve outcomes for foster youth and families.
