Designed for child welfare professionals and those new to the SDM framework, this session will enhance participants' understanding of SDM's purpose, core concepts, and application in assessments and decision-making. Participants will explore how SDM supports consistent and equitable decision-making to improve outcomes for children and families. The training emphasizes the importance of utilizing standardized definitions and adhering to policy and procedures when completing SDM assessments. By the end of this training, participants will be able to: •Gain a general understanding of the SDM system's purpose in Child Welfare; •Recognize the importance of using SDM definitions and referencing policies and procedures when completing assessments.
