CI# MW006B Trauma-Informed Care for Social Workers and Professionals 6 CEUs Instructor: Marya Wright, DSW, MSW Tuesday, February 11, 2025 9AM-4PM Location: Online via Zoom This training is designed to provide social workers and professionals with a comprehensive understanding of trauma and its effects on individuals. Participants will learn about the principles of trauma-informed care and how to implement these principles in practice, including screening for trauma, creating a safe environment, and trauma-focused therapies. Additionally, the training will cover working with survivors of sexual violence or domestic abuse, secondary trauma, and self-care. Participants will also learn about trauma-informed care in systems and organizations, including creating trauma-informed policies and practices. The material will be delivered by PowerPoint presentation, short video clips, group discussion, breakout (small group) discussions and participant workbook (handout).
