This interactive training provides an introduction to the Structured Decision Making (SDM) system as it applies to Child Welfare practice in California. Designed for child welfare professionals and those new to the SDM framework, this session will enhance participants' understanding of SDM's purpose, core concepts, and application in assessments and decision-making. Participants will explore how SDM supports consistent and equitable decision-making to improve outcomes for children and families. The training emphasizes the importance of utilizing standardized definitions and adhering to policy and procedures when completing SDM assessments.
