Location: Online via Zoom
This training will focus on providing concrete strategies for helping system-involved transition age youth stay safe in their homes and relationships when they are not ready to leave or identify their relationship as abusive. The training will also cover how to have conversations with system-involved transition age youth about domestic violence (DV0/intimate partner violence (IPV) and provide resources and support without forcing the person to take action. Additionally, the training will cover legal remedies, safety planning, building self-esteem, and ongoing education and awareness around domestic violence. The material will be delivered by PowerPoint presentation, short video clips, group discussion, breakout (small group) discussions and participant workbook (handout).
